Community Resource: Vaccination Resources


California is allocating COVID-19 vaccines as they become available to ensure equitable distribution, and we at Asian Health Services want to ensure that you have the most up to date resources to keep you and your family safe and healthy. Here are some resources and alternative options to sign up and receive a COVID vaccine.

Currently Alameda County is vaccinating:
    • People 50 years and older
    • Essential workers in Education & Childcare
    • Essential workers in Emergency Services
    • Essential workers in Food and Agriculture Services
    • People 16 years to 64 years old who have certain complex health conditions:
      • Cancer, current with debilitated or immunocompromised state
      • Chronic kidney disease, stage 4 or above
      • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), oxygen dependent
      • Down Syndrome
      • Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies (excluded hypertension)
      • Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant
      • Pregnancy
      • Severe Obesity
      • Sickle Cell Disease
      • Type 2 Diabetes

My Turn
    • My Turn is the state’s way of tracking eligibility and will show you options for scheduling an appointment when you are eligible. If you are not eligible at the time, you can register and they will notify you when you are eligible.
    • Call the CA COVID-19 Hotline at 1-833-422-4255 (M-F 8AM-8PM, Sat-Sun 8AM-5PM) for assistance.

          • Long-term care patients and staff
          • Emergency medical services
        • Kaiser will contact Kaiser members when they can schedule you. Kaiser Contra Costa has vaccinated non-Kaiser members

John Muir Health:
    • Eligibility:
      • John Muir Health will contact its patients via MyChart message, email, text message or phone call to schedule an appointment, currently vaccinating age 65 and older.
    • Patients encouraged to sign up for a MyChart account by visiting the MyChart sign up information page.
    • Eligibility:
      • City of Berkeley’s Health Department is operating a mass vaccination site at the foot of Buchanan Street in Albany near Golden Gate Fields. Appointments are for people 65 and older and those who live or work in Berkeley who are currently employed in grocery stores, convenience stores, or in-person education and childcare settings.
