Extreme Heat
Extreme heat can be dangerous.
If your home doesn’t have air conditioning you can find a cooling center near you at bit.ly/CA_Cooling_Centers

Power Outage
Wildfires can cause long-lasting power outages, which means it’s important to have backup plans.
Keep phones, devices, and backup batteries fully charged, and have a battery or car radio on hand to get emergency updates.

Fast Water
Wear a life jacket if you are going into the water, getting on a boat, or going to be within 20 feet of water, even if you don’t plan to go in.
It is especially important that children wear life jackets if they are near the water.
Visit ListosCalifornia.org for more.

Call 9-1-1
If someone falls into the water, do not go into the water to try and save them. Throw them something that floats that they can hold onto, and call 9-1-1 immediately.

Stay Indoors
Extreme heat makes air quality worse.
Children, older adults, pregnant people, and those with health conditions should limit outdoor activities.
