Vanessa is a healthcare consultant and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience assisting clients and stakeholders in the public and private sectors solve data, quality, operational, and strategic issues. She is a versatile consultant with experience at PwC and North Highland and has deep industry knowledge through her work for Blue Shield of California, Kaiser Permanente, and other payer purchasers. Vanessa currently runs a boutique consulting practice, Altruous Health, which offers services in data/business analytics, program/project management, and interim leadership assignments, with a special focus in and passion for advancing initiatives in population health, patient experience, and health equity.
Vanessa holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy & Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. She lives with her husband, two kids, and a dog in Orinda and occasionally identifies as a photographer, a musician, and a future momager.
