On April 20th, AHS staff Ben Wang, Director of Special Initiatives; Irene Pan, Special Initiatives Program Manager; and Thu hosted The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) staff, including CEO Norman Chen, for a site visit. We also took them on a Chinatown tour. We described our work and long and deep connection to the community, including to the many small businesses in the area. We took them to boba at Sweetheart Café, which is owned by our staff member Irene’s parents. It was the first boba shop in Chinatown, and started 26 years ago. TAAF was very impressed with AHS’ work and deep roots in the community.
