In the spring of 2008, Asian Health Services (AHS) partnered with Filipino Advocates for Justice (FAJ) and launched a health project to identify the primary health concerns for the Filipino community in Union City, California. Supported by a grant from the Tides Foundation Community Clinics Initiative, the Filipino Advocacy and Organizing for Health (FAOH) Project was initiated in direct response to the health disparities in the Filipino community.
