Under supervision of the Mental Health Psychiatrist Medical Director, the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This position assesses patients’ psychiatric symptoms and medical conditions, gathers information on psychosocial history and onset of symptoms, develops treatment plan, prescribes medications and follows up.
This position requires a valid Nurse Practitioner/RN license, valid DEA Certificate and current license to practice medicine in California with no disciplinary actions. Experience working with mental health clients and psychotropic medication management and evaluation. Excellent verbal and written communication.
Bilingual/bicultural in an Asian Language.
