With the legislative season in high gear, Executive Leadership members and staff visited the Capitol to engage in dialogue with state legislators and legislative staff, including Assembly Member Mia Bonta and Senator Skinner, about key budget and legislative priorities impacting community health centers. Our advocacy focused on urging legislators and the Governor to support additional funds to address the loss of 340B savings from the Medi-Cal pharmacy transition, support workforce challenges, and expand telehealth flexibilities post December 2022 to allow continued reimbursements for both audio and video virtual visits. We will continue to monitor these critical bills with the assistance of our state association, the California Primary Care Association (CPCA).
