Asian Health Services Pays Tribute to Rose Luey

According to Sue Chan, MD, Asian Health Services’ first physician, Rose was one of the co-founders of AHS, along with Reverend Frank Mar and Dr. Bing Young. She was one of the first Asian Alameda County Public Health Nurses and was selfless in her service to the community. She was instrumental in helping AHS set up our a number of programs, including the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment and Child Health and Disability Prevention programs, childhood screening/Back to School clinics, flu shot clinics as well as our Triage services.
