PROJECT:
The Korean Diabetes Needs Assessment project involved creating and administering a questionnaire to Korean-speaking patients to analyze whether a Korean Diabetes Group Visit is necessary or would be helpful, as diabetes group visits are already established with Cambodian and Vietnamese patients at AHS. The questionnaire was given to patients in AMC, KC, and on the phone in Korean.
WHY REACH?
In my time volunteering hundreds of hours in the hospital, shadowing several physicians, I have never experienced the support I experienced in REACH. My assumption for what a supportive, kind, yet challenging premed experience would be, was surpassed by my experience in ways that I had never thought.
