Why get the flu shot?

Protect yourself and your family by getting your flu shot!

It is best to get it early before the flu viruses begin spreading in the community.  The flu shot will prevent you from getting seriously ill from the flu and having to go to the hospital.  The flu vaccine does not cause the flu. The COVID vaccine protects you only against COVID and does not protect you against the flu.

There are many places to get a flu vaccine:

Many pharmacies and groceries, such as Walgreen’s, CVS, Lucky’s, Target, and Safeway offer the flu vaccine without an appointment. 
Please remember to bring your ID card and medical insurance card.  Call in advance to check supply, age requirements, and if they accept your insurance.

AHS Flu Clinics are open 9am – 1pm by appointment only starting in October.
