For 50 years, Asian Health Services (AHS) has been providing health care and services to 50,000 patients in 12 Asian languages for Alameda County’s most vulnerable residents regardless of income, insurance status, immigration status, language or culture. With Alameda County having the fastest growing AAPI population in the region, AHS’ expansion into San
Leandro meets an increased demand for health care services in language and in culture while providing greater access to medical, dental, and mental health care services.

Why is AHS expanding into San Leandro?

A recent gap analysis survey by the city of San Leandro shows a considerable need for health care and social services in Asian languages.

I came to this country with two luggages, and for the 45 years I've lived in America, I've been experiencing the kindness of this society with people who have been helping me along the way. I feel like giving back to those in need within the Asian community.
