PROJECT:
My project was a qualitative research to understand the stigma on Asian American youth’s usage of mental health service. I created a resourceful website called “Talk About Mental Health”, which allows youth to take action as well as to destigmatize and normalize the subject of mental health. This was a gratifying opportunity that has taught me to continue supporting Asian-American youth to stand up for themselves.
WHY REACH?
I didn’t know I was going to get in, but just do it! The providers will challenge you to become a better person and you will get to meet amazing advocates for so API involved organizations. The opportunities are limitless, and the REACH coordinators will do an amazing job to make your experience at AHS a life changing time!
