PROJECT:
This summer I worked with the Youth Program department at AHS to create a reproductive health guide for youth ages 12-25. The purpose of this guide is to enrich youths’ knowledge of sex education. I was able to design a reproductive health guide that informs and supports youth in understanding stigmatized concepts including sex and mental health and offerring reproductive health services that youths can access.
WHY REACH?
REACH has given me the opportunity to work alongside medical caregivers, health advocates and a self-determined community that strives to deliver healthcare access for all. I have gained invaluable knowledge about a health system like AHS that takes into consideration the social, economic and individual factors that influence health.
