Health and Wellness for Koreans (HAWK) harnesses the power of therapeutic storytelling to educate the Korean community about mental health issues with the ultimate goal of de-stigmatizing the topic. We implemented age-appropriate curriculum about mental health to educate the community in cohorts, while asking participants to help us curate five short videos about each participants’ opinions on, and personal experiences with, mental health. In creating a robust dialogue around mental health and disseminating the videos to the wider Korean community, we hope to foster an environment that empowers those in need to seek counseling and therapy services.
