Deliver direct services to reduce stigma, enhance awareness, and increase the rate of API seeking mental health services; Conduct outreach, engagement, psychoeducation, case management, individual and group rehabilitation, and other MH services in the field and clinic; Provide practical help, mentoring, advocacy, coordination, and side-by-side individualized support to help clients and families obtain the necessities of daily living. Liaison with healthcare, social, and community service providers to improve brokerage/linkage services for medical care, food, housing, transportation, finance, employment, etc.; Work closely with SMH ACCESS staff for overall mental health anti-stigma, outreach, and engagement activities. This position reports to the SMH Clinical Manager and/or a licensed mental health counselor.
This position requires five years of work experience in health and/or human services field. Knowledge of current theories, practices, and terminology for services to clients with MH symptoms and diagnosis. Understanding of cultural and social factors affecting emotional and behavioral patterns. Must possess strong engagement, organizational and time management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Acceptable driving record and vehicle inspection for safety.
