Under general supervision, Mental Health Counselor lll provides clinical and case management services; conduct psychosocial evaluations and assessments; provide ongoing rehabilitation treatment and interventions; conduct individual, group and family rehabilitation services; and provide consultation to other programs and agencies on treatment needs and behavioral plans. This position is a Master Level, licensed tracked clinician and performs duties involving considerable latitude and independence while under clinical supervision. This position reports to SMH Clinical Manager or SMH Prevention Programs Director or designee.
This position requires a Master Degree in social work, marriage and family counseling, clinical or counseling psychology or related field, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California as an ASW, MFT-Intern or PCC-Intern; Board of Psychology as a Psychological Assistant. Experience in providing individual, group rehabilitation services and clinical case management in API communities preferred. Knowledge of current evidence based theories, principles, and practices for services to clients with chronic and serious behavioral health conditions preferred.
